Due to difficult personal circumstances, she decided to return to work. In July 2024, she started a work experience placement at FijnderThere she had the opportunity to try out various tasks: helping in the kitchen, supporting the facility services, and working in the workshop.
This change allowed her to rediscover what it means to enjoy her work. She felt valued, comfortable, and welcome. Colleagues and supervisors played a key role in this.
“It's been so long since I enjoyed going to work,” says Anita. “At Fijnder I felt again how nice it is to be at work.”
The welcoming work environment gave her the confidence and energy to take the next step: paid employment. And it was a success. After a successful two-month trial period, Anita has been officially working at Timmerije in Noordijk since early July.
