You're even obligated to do so. This way, we work together to ensure you receive the correct benefits and problems are avoided.
Obligation to provide information
The duty to provide information means that you must report to us anything that may be important for your benefit.
Has anything changed in your situation? Please report it immediately.
Examples are:
- you go to work and receive an income
- your income changes every month
- you receive assets (for example savings or an inheritance)
- you are going to study
- you are going to do volunteer work
- you are moving
- your living situation changes (e.g. living together, divorce, children moving in or out)
- you buy a car
- you're going on vacation
Please note, these are just examples. You must also report any other changes in your situation. If you're unsure whether you need to report anything, please contact your contact person at Fijnder.
- Always report changes within one week.
- This can be done digitally via My Income (log in with DigiD).
- Not sure if you need to report something? Ask your income consultant.
Report income
- Do you receive (variable) income? Then you must report this monthly.
- You will automatically receive an income form by post.
- This form also states the deadline by which you must submit it.
- You return the form with the return envelope.
What if you're late?
- If you're late or your information is incorrect, resulting in overpayment, you'll have to repay that amount.
- Sometimes a fine may also follow.
Labor obligation
Benefits are intended to provide temporary support. In the meantime, you must actively look for work. This is called the work obligation.
What we do together:
- we investigate what options you have to work
- We help you find work that suits you
Find a job yourself? Great! Let us know right away.
Reduction of benefits
In some situations, Fijnder Temporarily reduce your benefits. For example, if you:
- does not report changes or reports them too late
- not cooperating enough in finding work
- is irresponsible with money or work, meaning you need more benefits
- does not comply with agreements we have made together
- you do not behave properly towards an employee of Fijnder
We always first look at the situation: what happened and could you have done anything about it?
If you frequently fail to keep appointments, your benefits may be further reduced.
We understand that there are many rules you have to take into account if you receive benefits.
